Once again the local council gives permission for a major motel to be built on Scully Park.
Why?
Can someone please explain to me why we need another Woolworths supermarket, another bottle shop( taking over a children’s park and green area) another building supplier (to be built on a flood plain) and now this big motel.
When are they going to think of the little businessman trying to get ahead in this town?
It seems they have given no thought to them or the local citizens as to what they want or need.
Tamworth in the near future will have no history left – it will be buried under bricks and mortar monstrosities.
As for the state government, here we go again.
They want to sell the electricity companies in NSW and with what they make from the sale they will spend in Sydney.
Again the rest of the state gets left behind.
The state of country roads should be first priority, not more money spent in Sydney.
Give the rest of the State a fair go.
But then again I guess NSW still means Newcastle, Sydney and Wollongong.
Maybe it’s about time we all banded together and let these governments – local and state – know what we really think of them.
Let’s start putting pen to paper and voice our opinions louder.
