IT has come to light that the Tamworth Regional Council is removing machinery in the way of the only grader from the Nundle depot.
I attempted to speak with Col Murray whilst he attended the local government day at Nundle but he left early so I was not able to get his comment.
This is said to be a cost saving event but will leave Nundle trying to cope with getting a grader from Tamworth which will mean a minimum of three hours down-time getting to Nundle.
Is this the first step to remove council from its furthermost suburb?
Nundle is still in the 2340 post code and we are ratepayers who deserve the same as Tamworth has.
Recently I saw council staff with brooms and shovels sweeping the streets as we can’t even get a street sweeper out to Nundle.
Yep, the beginning of the end.
