The heavens opened on Saturday in Tamworth and Armidale as Mother Nature finally delivered on the promises provided by forecasters.
Yesterday brought more widespread if light falls across the New England North West as even Moree, which has suffered worse than most, received a small share.
But up until 5pm yesterday, it was Gunnedah leading the way on the weekend rain front with 16.4mm, followed by Tamworth with 13mm.
Some centres look to be in for a clearing shower or two today, before the rain dries up until at least the weekend, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
