Police are preparing a report for the coroner after a man was found deceased following a single vehicle crash near Gunnedah.
About 9am yesterday (Saturday August 18) highway patrol officers were driving along the Oxley Highway, about 8kms east of Gunnedah when they found a Mitsubishi utility on the side of the road.
A 51 year-old man from Manilla was found dead at the scene after being ejected from the vehicle.
A crime scene was established and forensic officers examined the scene.
Detectives from Tamworth are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Anyone who was travelling along the Oxley Highway between 4pm Friday Agust 17 and 9am Saturday August 18 and may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact Tamworth Police or contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000
