TWO people were injured in Armidale yesterday morning in two separate biking accidents.
A 38-year-old woman was taken to hospital by ambulance paramedics after she crashed into a pole about 6.30am.
The incident occurred at the corner of Taylor and Kentucky streets.
The woman suffered suspected back injuries.
About 8.10am, a 61-year-old man was thrown off his motorbike on Rockvale Rd, north of the city. Reports indicated the man suffered a broken leg and chest injuries.
He was taken to Armidale hospital in a serious but stable condition.
It is understood there were no other vehicles involved in the accidents.
In other news, police are appealing for information on a man wanted for stealing alcohol from a Tamworth liquor shop on Thursday.
About 12.30pm, the man stole a small quantity of alcohol from City Plaza's Liquor Land and made threatening remarks to the shop's staff.
He is described as having a medium build, fair complexion and short, dark hair. He wore dark jeans with a striped shirt.
While police are reviewing CCTV footage to find the man, they are urging anyone with information to call the Tamworth Police Station or Crime Stoppers.
