Joeys are coming off a 3-2 win over East Armidale in Armidale last Saturday that enabled the Steve Gadd-coached side to hurdle East into the outright lead of the PL’s Northern Conference.
Joeys now confront another Armidale side which has won its past three games in succession.
The Andy Lennon-coached North Armidale Redmen have beaten North Companions, Oxley Vale Attunga and Guyra United to ramp up their season.
Last Saturday’s 5-nil success over Guyra United has the Redmen ready to make the trip to Inverell Sporting Complex a successful one.
Joeys FC sit atop the NC table with 15 points, a win ahead of East Armidale (12) with the Redmen on 10 points.
Then follow Demon Knights (7pts) who tackle South Armidale Scorpions at Rologas 1, Armidale.
The Scorpions are just a point astern of DK, with GuyraUnited on one point.
East Armidale has a tough home game too when it hosts North Companions.
North Companions, Oxley Vale Attunga and Tamworth FC all sit on 12 points in the PL’s Southern Conference, with FC hosting Gunnedah Hawks at Johnson Field in Tamworth and OVA hosting Moree FC at Scully Park.
Gunnedah United, fresh from an encouraging 2-nil loss to Tamworth FC, goes to Wee Waa to play Narrabri-Wee Waa.
