A man, believed to be a member of the Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang, has been arrested and charged for an alleged aggravated break and enter near Armidale yesterday.

About 3am two men were at a home on Village Road, Wollomombi – about 40km east of Armidale – when they were awoken by noise coming from the front of the premises.
One of the men, aged 53, opened the front door and was confronted by three men, who spoke to him briefly before allegedly assaulting him.
A short time later, the second man in the home, aged 31, went to the assistance of the first man and was also allegedly assaulted by the trio.
Both men were then allegedly threatened, before they were able to escape and drive from the scene.
Officers attached New England Local Area Command established a crime scene.
The two men were taken to Armidale Hospital to be treated for bruising and cuts, and the younger man for a fractured nose.
Following investigations, about 2.20pm yesterday (Tuesday 13 May 2014) a 44-year-old man was arrested at a home in Wollomombi.
He was taken to Armidale Police Station and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company (x2) and aggravated break and enter.
The man, who police believe is a member of the Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang, was refused bail to appear at Armidale Local Court today.
Investigations into the incident continue.
