JUST months ago Miranda Kerr’s family created an international media storm after issuing a very public plea for the jet-setting supermodel to spend more time in Australia.
Now, it seems like they’ve got their wish.
The 31-year-old beauty – Gunnedah’s most famous export – took to social media on Mother’s Day to prove there are no hard feelings over the embarrassing comments.
A photo posted online shows Kerr surrounded by her extended family as she plants a kiss on her three-year-old son, Flynn, whose father is Hollywood actor Orlando Bloom.
The happy snap, believed to be taken in Sydney, was accompanied by the message: “Such a special day with my family. Happy Mother’s Day to all.”
The presence of parents Therese and John, brother Matthew and grandparents Ann and Peter indicates all is forgiven over the explosive program.
In February, Kerr’s family revealed on ABC’s Family Confidential its concerns at not having seen the New York-based model in over a year.
They lamented the toll her world-wide celebrity had taken on the once close-knit family, with John Kerr saying: “I wish she was just a normal, everyday girl, I really do.”
Last week Kerr told an Australian magazine she “feels sorry for her family” and that “they weren’t really trying to do anything, they were just a little naive, unfortunately”.
Kerr has also continued to deny rumours of a romance with billionaire brawler James Packer, who split from Gunnedah-born wife Erica Baxter last year.
