And the former Calrossy and McCarthy Catholic College student has a message for local teens dreaming of making it big in their chosen discipline – “just do it”.
After a stint on Channel 10’s short-lived Everybody Dance Now, Ms Cini moved to New York last July and has since danced in a swag of shows, alongside such names as Brooke Shields.
Among her highlights was playing the lead role in Sparkle the Fairy Princess, and she recently filmed a global ad for Pfizer’s Polase drink.
When she’s not performing, Ms Cini works as the Australian liaison officer at the Broadway Dance Center and is on the teaching faculty at Manhattan’s Dalton School, Ballet Academy East and New Jersey’s Infinite Motion.
She said she felt privileged to learn her trade in Tamworth and urged local young performers to embrace the opportunities the city had to offer.
“I feel so lucky to have grown up in Tamworth with such wonderful teachers,” Ms Cini said.
“To my family, friends and the Tamworth community who continuously support and encourage me to follow my dreams, I can’t express how grateful I am.
“I definitely wouldn’t be where I am today without them.
“I can’t wait to see other Tamworth students follow their dreams, no matter how far away from home they may seem.”
