Staff from PRD Nationwide’s Tamworth office braved the Peel St chill on Saturday for the barbecue fundraiser.
The event, which called on passers-by to make a gold-coin donation for a sausage sandwich, raised close to $1000 for NSW Farmers’ “We’re for the Bush” drought appeal.
The money will be dispersed by the Salvation Army as food and other vouchers for drought-hit farmers in the region.
The fundraiser was held in conjunction with PRD’s Sell Smarter Win A Car campaign, which will see one lucky customer win a Holden Barina from Kensell’s simply by listing their property with the agency by the end of June.
“The drought appeal is a cause pretty close to the hearts of a lot of our staff,” event co-organiser Emma Roberts said.
