The school is embracing TLC for Kids’ Tracky Dack Day, raising awareness and funds for an organisation that offers the fastest free support for children in hospital and their families.
TLC for Kids brings urgent relief and distraction to an average of 600,000 kids in hospital who are distressed and in need of immediate help.
It’s the first time Bendemeer Public has been involved in the day, teacher Jess Drayton saying they supported many different fundraisers throughout the year and TLC for kids was a great cause.
The school’s 22 students have already started learning about the charity and next Friday will wear their tracky dacks in return for a gold coin donation.
Ms Drayton said it would also be a welcome winter treat.
“It gets pretty cold up here at Bendemeer,” she laughed.
