Played over two rounds, the 36-hole championship was won by Ruth Osborne and Helen Foster with a two-round total of 174.
They beat runners-up Lesley Jeffriess and Julie McGrath (181) by seven shots and also won the nett event with 146 nett from Elaine Lye and Sue Nelson (159).
The Tamworth Lady Golfers now prepare for Sunday’s big Treloar Cup tournament at Tamworth Golf Club.
It’s also a big day at some of the other clubs in the region.
Barraba Golf Club stages its men’s Open Fourball on Sunday while Quirindi RSL Golf Club begins its club championships.
They are over four rounds of stroke play with Peel Valley Machinery the sponsors.
