This is also in the face of more and more evidence coming to light of extreme sadism and abuse in most of the countries to which Australian animals are sent.  Aside from that, this relentless push for expansion is set to decimate jobs in the meat processing sector, and in allied sectors depending upon them, all over again. 

How can this possibly be in Australia’s economic self-interest?
