The residents of the home were on holidays when the property was destroyed. No one was injured. Tamworth Fire and Rescue NSW Inspector Bob Sayer said emergency services were called to the fire about 11.30pm on Saturday.
He said the fire was extinguished in about 45 minutes by four trucks and 12 firefighters from Tamworth City and West Tamworth.
“The house was destroyed, but there was also some minor damage to a neighbouring property,” Inspector Sayer said.
