Mann led after last Saturday’s first round when he shot a one under par 71 in a day highlighted by an early-afternoon deluge.
John Trevaskis carded a first-round even par 72 while defending champion Ben Lockwood recorded a 76.
However Lockwood was eight shots better on Sunday, shooting a two under par 68 while Trevaskis, the former Tamworth rugby union pivot carded a one under par 71.
Mann’s second-round 74 dropped him back two shots adrift of Trevaskis and one behind Lockwood with this weekend’s final two rounds to play.
Peter Clemson leads the B grade while Wayne Jolliffe is in front in C Grade.
Mary Ann Macklinshaw leads the ladies’ A grade and has won the Longyard ladies’ veterans’ title while Richard McGhie is the Longyard men’s veterans’ champion.
