Oxley highway patrol officers tried to pull over a Toyota Kluger just after 12.30am on Saturday in Carroll St, Gunnedah, when it failed to stop.
Police said the driver pulled into a White St driveway in an attempt to avoid officers; checks revealed the man did not live at the location.
He failed a roadside breath test and later returned a reading of 0.119. He lost his licence on the spot and was charged with mid-range drink-driving.
Meanwhile, a 26-year-old man has been suspended from driving after he was seen swerving on the Oxley Highway near Dampier St in Taminda.
Police stopped the man for a breath-test about 11pm on Saturday and he later returned a mid-range blood alcohol reading of 0.103.
