FIREWORKS, drugs, ammunition and suspected stolen goods have been seized after police stormed two homes in Moree.
The raids were part of an ongoing investigation and also uncovered dangerous implements and drug paraphernalia.
No one has been charged in relation to the searches but Barwon Superintendant Gelina Talbot warned it was not over yet.
“The disruption of drug networks in my command is of high priority to my police and the two warrants executed are just a sample of what’s to come,” she said.
“Drugs, both prescription and illegal, are of great concern in rural communities. We are asking the public to be our eyes and ears and to be on the look-out for people who are illegally using and/or dealing drugs.”
She said illegal drug activities were strongly linked to break-and-enters and police needed the public’s help to “get tough” on those responsible.
