A man perceived to have ''links'' to a real estate agency that could find out the address of one of Sydney's deadliest gang leaders was allegedly gunned down by three machine-gun-wielding men at the height of the bloody Brothers For Life conflict.

Details of the alleged motive for the execution attempt on November 7 provide a disturbing insight into the lengths the gang went to as they descended into internal warfare.

The revelations were contained in court documents obtained by Fairfax Media on Wednesday when the case took another strange twist with the arrest of quietly spoken Amanda Crowe, 33, who was charged with masterminding and orchestrating the triple hit.

Ms Crowe, who cares for her cancer-suffering mother and recently bought an apartment in Epping, was described by police in court documents as an unlikely right-hand woman to Brothers For Life's Blacktown chapter leader Farhad Qaumi, who was personally appointed ''general'' in 2012 by gang founder and Supermax inmate Bassam Hamzy.

According to police, she allegedly ordered Mobin Mirzaei, Mohammed Kalal and a third man, who cannot be named, to shoot Mr Abu-Mahmoud on November 7 because he could find out where Farhad Qaumi lived. However, unbeknown to them, Strike Force Sitella police had long been planning to swoop on the gang that day following two years of escalating tension, two murders and dozens of brutal shootings.

All their phones were bugged; all were under surveillance.

Police watched Farhad Qaumi's younger brother and senior gang member, Mumtaz, allegedly meet gang members in a Harris Park reserve at 8.17pm, when he is said to have told them: ''You are going to shoot Abs.''

As they scoped out the Chokolatta Cafe in Bankstown, Ms Crowe allegedly told the men: ''You are going to shoot that guy tonight.''

''That's the guy, he has links to a real estate agency that can find out our address,'' Mumtaz added, according to court documents. ''We need to protect our leader.''

Police say Farhad was in fear of his life and had fled to Thailand following the murder of rival Brothers For Life member Mahmoud Hamzy outside his Revesby Heights home in October.

Mahmoud's cousin Mohammed, leader of the Bankstown chapter, ran out the back door and survived.

Police allege disagreements between the Blacktown and Bankstown chapters about drug dealing, territory and extortions were boiling over.

When Mohammed Hamzy was overheard by Farhad Qaumi during a phone call referring to his Afghan-dominated Blacktown chapter as ''Afghan dogs'', the internal rumblings exploded, court documents state.

Just after midnight on November 7, three Blacktown members allegedly stormed Mr Abu-Mahmoud's car outside the Chokolatta Cafe with machine guns, firing through its windows so ferociously they destroyed a headrest.

Miraculously, the three men inside - Mr Abu-Mahmoud, Khalil Khalil and Hassan Soueid - survived.

Less than 40 minutes later, police swooped on the alleged attackers as well as Sarkhel Rokhzayi, 22, who allegedly supplied the guns that were stored at his mother's home.

One of the alleged shooters has since rolled over and pointed police to Ms Crowe, who was arrested on Tuesday and charged with three counts of causing wounding to a person with intent to murder.

Her lawyer, Gregory James, QC, told Parramatta Local Court she was simply present when the orders were given and proof of her involvement rests ''entirely on the credibility of one witness'' who rolled over. Mr James offered the family's Dulwich Hill home as surety and described Ms Crowe as a loving daughter who cares for her sick mother, Mary.

The police paint a different picture. Court documents allege that after the arrest of the three Qaumi brothers in January, she tried to visit them in jail, attend their bail hearings and deposit money into jail accounts.

After being banned from talking to them in prison, she allegedly asked another woman to pass on a message: ''If you do speak to them, tell him that, um, if you need anything at all, just let me know and consider it done.''

According to police, phone intercepts revealed her talking to Farhad's partner Mariah Hussein and another Brothers For Life member, Fawad Bari, about hunting down the members who rolled over.

''Can you do me a favour?'' she asks Ms Hussein. ''Find out who the f---, who the f--- are the witnesses.''

A magistrate will make a determination on her bail application on Wednesday.
