Rex will officially launch its new Armidale to Sydney service tomorrow, with the first flight due to arrive from Sydney at 2pm and the return flight to leave at 3.30pm.
In between, formal proceedings will mark the occasion, with Rex deputy chairman John Sharp, member for Northern Tablelands Adam Marshall, Armidale Dumaresq councillor Andrew Murat and UNE acting vice-chancellor Professor Anabelle Duncan all in attendance.
Rex will be offering three flights a day on its 36-seater aircraft, giving residents the choice between it and QantasLink. The carrier last flew the route in 2006.
Flights from Armi-dale will leave at 6.35am,10.50am and 5.20pm each weekday. Flights will depart Sydney at 9.15am, 3.40pm and 6.55pm. There will
also be a number of weekend flights.
