A report will be prepared for the Coroner following the death of a baby in a crash in Armidale this morning.

About 8.30am, police were called to Uralla Road, near the intersection of Moore Park Road, following reports of a collision.
Officers were told a Holden Commodore sedan travelling south on Uralla Road and a Ford Laser sedan, travelling in the opposite direction, had collided.
The five occupants of the Holden Commodore were treated at the scene by paramedics.
A two-month-old girl sustained serious injuries, but later died at the scene.
The four other occupants sustained the following injuries:
The 47-year-old woman, and driver, sustained minor injuries, including bruising to her chest and was taken to Armidale Hospital.
A 20-year-old woman sustained a fractured pelvis and wrist as well as head injuries and was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition.
A 24-year-old man sustained minor injuries and was taken to Armidale Hospital.
A 22-year-old man sustained a fractured skull as well as shoulder fractures and was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition.
The female Ford driver was taken to Armidale Hospital for assessment and mandatory blood and urine testing while her son, who was travelling with her at the time, was uninjured.
A crime scene has been established at the location, which is being examined by specialist officers attached to the Crash Investigation Unit.
Inquiries into the matter are continuing.
