With the season fast approaching the association is excited to be rolling out the new NetSetGo program.
It is Netball Australia’s introductory program for children aged between five and ten years old.
It aims to give the best possible introduction to the game to insure enjoyment and continued participation of the sport. The program also incorporates a national junior development program and also addresses the issue of childhood obesity with a low cost community-based exercise program.
As well as the NetSetGo Program TNA is also offering a school holiday clinic in the Easter holidays.
The clinic will be held at the Tamworth Netball Courts from 9am-12pm on Tuesday April 15.
Over the three hours the kids will learn age appropriate skills ans netball moves, as well as just having some fun and games. Accreditted coaches will be on hand to give tips to improve their games.
It is aimed at primary school children at a cost of $40 per child.
Participants will receive a NSW Netball goodie bag that will include a Gilbert netball. In other news the Tamworth netball committee have been very busy organising events for the upcoming
season.
Coaching and umpiring courses will be running soon in preparation for the Saturday Competition.
The representative teams have all been chosen and are in training for the carnival in Tamworth Sunday.
Other regional sides will travel to Tamworth for the carnival that will be used as a practice for the NSW State Age and State Championships in May and June.
