TWO vehicles collided on the New England Highway at 1.30pm yesterday near the intersection of Pine St, Kootingal.
It is believed there were injuries, but no further information was available at the time of printing.
Positive breath-test
AT 7.40pm Saturday, a 40-year-old male was stopped by police on Greg Norman Dr, Hillvue, for a random breath-test and returned a positive reading.
He was charged with mid-range PCA and four other offences including driving whilst suspended, driving unregistered and uninsured vehicle and displaying misleading number plates and he had an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court for other traffic offences and a high-range PCA offence in January.
The man was refused bail to appear in Tamworth Local Court today .
Licence suspended
A 33-YEAR-OLD Manilla man lost his licence and will face Manilla Local Court at a later date after being charged with mid-range PCA. Police doing random breath-testing in Manilla on Saturday night stopped the man at 9.45pm and breath-tested him.
His licence was suspended on the spot.
