The Good Guys Tamworth has thrown down the gauntlet to locals ahead of a special fundraising event this weekend.
The store will host a gala awareness day on Saturday, replete with a team of hairdressers offering customers free hair-dyes and head-shaves.
The event, which will run from 10am to 2pm, is held in the lead-up to next week’s Leukaemia Foundation World’s Greatest Shave.
“This event is all about urging Tamworth residents to get involved and tackle this issue head-on – literally,” Good Guys Tamworth proprietor Kathy Webb said.
“Any donation, big or small, can make a difference. And if we manage to inspire just a handful of locals to take on their own personal fundraising challenge, then that is a big win too.”
The Good Guys team will be dying their hair on the day and don brightly coloured matching uniforms.
There will also be a fundraising morning tea provided.
