8am: Inspector Chris McKinnon from Armidale police has warned residents to lock up their homes following attempted break-ins in the area overnight.
He said residents have reported incidents in which they caught would-be thieves trying to enter their homes.
"It's a reminder for people to ensure their premises are locked up before going to sleep at night," He told us this morning.

Isolated showers and the chance of thunderstorms on the southern slopes from the early morning, extending throughout from the late morning. Winds north to northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h becoming light in the middle of the day. Overnight temperatures falling to between 15 and 21 with daytime temperatures reaching 29 to 35.
