The inaugural I Want 2 Be Day raised awareness and money for childhood cancer research programs.
Kootingal and District Preschool director Tina Sipple said it was a chance to make the children aware of sick children.
The children were to dress up as what they wanted to be when they left school.
“It also got them thinking about what they want to do when they grow up,” Mrs Sipple said.
“It was a good opportunity to support a good cause with a gold coin donation from our families.”
All money raised goes to the Kids Cancer Project, who want children with cancer to be able to achieve their dreams when they grow up, by defeating childhood cancer.
If the dress-ups are anything to go by, Kootingal preschool is going to produce many princesses, as well as soccer players, a builder, a Bunnings worker, firemen,
ballerinas, police officers, cowboys, a vet, Superman, Transformer and a pirate.
