In the biggest shindig this side of the South Pacific, hundreds of seadogs are expected to dress up and party down at a massive pirate-inspired ball in Tamworth next month.
The Pirates of Treasure Cove Charity Ball, aimed at plundering funds for Tamworth hospital’s operating theatres, will sail into TRECC on March 29.
Co-organiser Kevin Attard, who is also a theatre nurse at the hospital, said he was hopeful of luring 500 revellers to the event.
“We want everyone to come together as a community, have fun and dance your patch off,” Mr Attard said.
“All money raised stays in Tamworth. It’s our community and our hospital.”
The Party on Peel organising committee has raised more than $200,000 for the hospital since starting the beer and wine festival seven years ago.
The festival has evolved into an annual one-off event, recognised as Tamworth’s premier ball.
Guests are invited to come decked out as a pirate or in formal-wear, with a three-course meal and entertainment from The Nevilles included in the ticket.
Tickets are available for $90 each from Memories Newsagency at City Plaza.
