This old adage was particularly well illustrated on Saturday when Tamworth hosted a swap meet at St Nicholas’ Primary School hall.

Unwanted clothing, shoes and accessories were all up for grabs on the day, with participants able to acquire the same amount of items as they brought along to exchange.

“Everyone that came along picked up something they really treasured,” swap meet organiser Tracey Cullen said.

The stylist said she would look to hold another meet in early May and encouraged those thinking of attending to organise a group of friends.
