Valentine’s Day has been renamed Library Lovers’ Day to thank those clients who love and support their local service.
Bookmarks and stickers will be given away and, for something a bit different, a variety of books will be wrapped up and displayed for borrowing in a “blind-date” twist.
The library’s Amanda Bourke said it was designed to tempt clients to choose a book that may be something they wouldn’t ordinarily pick up.
If the date went well, presumably it could mark the beginning of a beautiful relationship with a whole new literary genre.
The day is being celebrated at libraries everywhere.
Yesterday Tamworth’s Kirsty Brown and her daughter, Emily, got a sneak peak at what’s planned for Tamworth Regional Library today.
