The squads will face a tough task in what will be their first full games of 2014, however the coaches are pleased with the progress of the players through the program.
The Knights’ development squads train regularly and have had the opportunity to play trials over the past few weeks.
Greater Northern Regional Manager Scott Bone is looking forward to the games this week.
“The coaches and players can’t wait for Saturday. For the coaches, we will be putting a lot of emphasis on the players’ ability to perform in the game situation,” he said.
The Cubs will take on the Chargers at 1pm, whilst the Tigers will play the Knights U17s at 2.30pm. Round 1 of the Harold Matthews and SG Ball competitions will follow the games at Baddeley Park, with the Knights taking on Western Suburbs.
