The reigning showgirl, Danielle Robson, is driving a new promotion when it comes to the annual pastoral and agricultural exhibition.
She’s hoping to see a great turnout for the annual showgirl quest – but also plenty of entrants who will launch a junior showgirl quest to celebrate the 142nd show expo.
Prestige car dealer Audi, from its new Taminda showroom, is sponsoring the twin showgirl turnout.
Nominations are open now for both quests and close on February 28.
The junior showgirl is open to entrants turning 12 to 17 this year, and the traditional showgirl is for those aged between 18 and under 25.
One of the first entrants this year is Maddy Long, who reckons it’s a great way for girls to have fun – and to promote her hometown and the agricultural industry to boot.
Ring events, livestock judging, pavilion displays, entertainment, sideshows and a rodeo will be held at the showground on March 28 and 29.
