The wallaby statue, erected in 1988 as part of a bicentennial project, was the victim of vandals several months ago who left him feeling only half the marsupial he once was.
Liverpool Plains Shire Council is trying to replace him under insurance, and is trying to locate a business that produces these kinds of statues.
Hopefully he’ll return to his full stature soon.
