The first night of the ABCRA’s Junior National Finals Rodeo was also in support of Camp Quality, ABCRA’s Emmalene Deaves said.
“In an effort to raise funds for Camp Quality, competitors and spectators wore pink and purple to support the cause,” she said.
“During the intermission, Giggles the Clown was out and about and even went for a drive around the arena whilst the Camp Quality raffle and blanket drop took place.
“Possibly the highlight of the night was the Pony Buckjump which saw kids under the age of 18 take on bucking ponies.
“Each rider and pony was sponsored, with all of the money donated to Camp Quality.”
The Junior National Finals Rodeo finished Monday night, when the third of three rounds was completed.
The “senior” National Finals Rodeo begins tomorrow and runs over four nights (January 22-25) while the three rounds of Campdraft National Finals will be held over two days on Friday and Saturday.
ABCRA National Finals tickets can be purchased from www.abcra.com.au or phone Destination Tamworth (67675300).
