Police will prepare a report for the Coroner after a man died following a two-vehicle crash on the New England Highway at Tamworth yesterday.
Police and emergency services were called to the scene south of the town after a light truck and Ford Falcon XR6 collided shortly before 4pm.
Both vehicles were well alight by the time emergency services got to the scene.
The driver of the Ford, a 33-year-old Tamworth man died at the scene of the accident.
The driver of the truck, a 40-year-old man from Tamworth was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening chest injuries.
Both drivers were travelling alone.
Crash Investigation are investigating the incident.
