Singer Jessica Mauboy took to the stage, albeit a slightly smaller one, in Tamworth’s Bicentennial Park in a one-off pop-up gig.
Hundreds of fans flocked to the grass to hear the ARIA Award-winning artist belt out some of her hits.
And she didn’t disappoint, with locals rocking along to some of her hit songs, including Pop a Bottle and Burn.
There was also a chance meeting for a few star-struck fans after the three-song performance wrapped up yesterday afternoon.
It’s not the first visit to Tamworth for the Australian Idol artist, either.
Mauboy was the first winner of the Telstra Road to Tamworth competition during the 2003 country music festival.
The whistle-stop performance was part of her nationwide To the End of the Earth tour, with the pop star performing before a crowd at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre last night.
