Tamworth’s Iris O’Reilly is concerned that Australia’s security is at risk with the sale of land to the Chinese government.
NOW that we have an open border through which thousands of
mainly Middle East asylum seekers are gaining access to Australia, it is evident how easy it is for terrorists to become potential Australians.
Think of Capt Emad, a people-smuggler and his family, who were welcomed in to Australia within two months of arriving at Christmas Island.
Now we have another potential easing of our future security with this Labor government prepared to (allow the) sell off of the best, magnificent productive land in the Northern Territory and Southern Queensland, both with access to water.
A prominent Australian is selling off Australian food productive land to the Chinese government – a government which never allows anyone to purchase any of its territory whatsoever.
The same Chinese government has built its huge military arsenal – for what reason? The Chinese government is arming itself to the teeth. So with that obvious thought in mind, why is this Labor government so keen to give the Chinese government a toehold in Australia?
We have the most competent farmers in the world who sell their food produce to the world and the money earned abroad comes back to Australia. The Chinese government, if it were to succeed in getting a toehold in Australia, would take all produce back to China, therefore, making no financial return to Australia from these two magnificent properties.
No use complaining when the deed is done – so wake up Australia.
