The two brothers have four of the 15 nominations for the $15,000 1600m benchmark 55 handicap – Mack nominating Final Conflict and Luke a trio – Don’t Move, Run Legless and Tarzan Toby.
All four will be high in the weights, with Don’t Move the benchmark toprater (56) and Run Legless (55) just a point behind with stablemate Tarzan Toby on 50, the same as Final Conflict.
Luke Griffith has been in winning form too.
He snared a double at Tamworth last Friday (Pauline’s Passion and Terwen Destiny), missed out at Sunday’s Gilgandra Cup meeting but pounced with All That Excites at Cessnock on Monday.
Such has been his success that he leads the HNWRA trainers’ premiership by seven wins from Jane Clement and Sue Grills.
Griffith is chasing a third HNWRA trainers’ premiership as well and sits on 21 for the HNWRA season already.
While he nominated a trio for the B55 at Gunnedah, he has Idaville and Space Invader also nominated.
