THEY reckon they couldn’t sing to save themselves but these three merry mums led a chorus of good cheer at the Coledale carols night.
Mother and daughter Sue Bishop and Colleen Bishop and Annette Marshall were among those who marshalled the community and some volunteer troops for a great evening out in Granny Munro Park.
Mrs Marshall said up to 400 people attended, many of them family groups with children.
“We handed out over 200 kiddy bags and used about 500 sausages for the barbecue, so yes, we were really pleased with the turnout,” she said.
“It was good, in fact a fantastic event and I think the kids really enjoyed themselves. We had a fire truck and jumping castle and we gave out 600 sno cones.”
While Santa couldn’t make it, Mrs Claus did – and delighted everyone around her.
