The airline has received approval from Transport for NSW to operate the Moree to Sydney route on a short-term relief basis.
The service will commence on an ad-hoc basis, with return flights available on Tuesday and Friday next week, before moving to daily return services from December 29.
QantasLink chief executive officer John Gissing said Qantas was delighted to be able to once again provide the Moree community with a reliable air service.
“We are delighted to be returning to the Moree community on a temporary relief basis,” he said.
“We are offering Moree customers discounted airfares starting at $129, as well as special relief for those customers who were originally booked on Brindabella.
“We will quickly move to daily services after the Christmas break.”
