On Dick Edwards Oval, the Chris Paterson-coached Under 14s had a 101-run victory while the Bede Maher-coached Under 12s recorded a 35-run win at Riverside 2 in the hot conditions.
Stars of the U12 victory were Toby Smith and Conrad George.
Smith struck an unbeaten 55, retiring when the heat took hold, while George scored 25 and then took 3-18 with his legspinners. At one stage he was on a hat-trick.
Across the lane and Jye Paterson and Tyson Rennie held sway for the Under 14s, Paterson retiring on 110 and Rennie making an unbeaten 70.
Paterson hit five boundaries in his century as Tamworth reached 2-245 and then dismissed Dungog for 144.
Blake Murphy’s 2-26 was best for Tamworth against a side best served by Tom Hudson (29no), Will Fort (22) and Matt Holmes (18).
“The boys batted well,” Chris Paterson said.
“They built their innings to start with and then bowled and fielded well in the heat – kept their energy levels.
“I thought Blake bowled very well.”
