12yo girl stabbed
A WOMAN will reappear before Armidale Local Court on Wednesday after allegedly stabbing a teenage girl at Glen Innes on Friday night.
The Glen Innes woman and two men went to a unit at about 7.30pm on Friday, where the woman allegedly stabbed a 12-year-old girl a number of times.
All three fled the premises and the girl was taken to Glen Innes hospital before being airlifted to Lismore hospital, where she was treated for puncture wounds to her body. She is reported to be in a stable condition.
Cannabis in wallet
AT ABOUT 12.30am yesterday police stopped and spoke to a 15-year-old male near the intersection of Darling and Peel streets in Tamworth. He was searched prior to being taken home. When police searched him, they found a small amount of cannabis in his wallet and he will be dealt with under the Young Offenders Act.
