SICK children at Tamworth Hospital have been in the thoughts of the students from Tamworth West Public School.
The students used this year’s Book Week to hold a series of events and activities that cost children 20 cents to be a part of, and which were
co-ordinated by a group of girls from Year 6.

A group of Tamworth West students visited the hospital recently to present the books, in conjunction with the drawing of an annual raffle run by “Big Kids for Little Kids”.
It’s the second year the small group of family and friends, led by Jean Emery, has held the raffle that raised more than $2000 this year, all of which goes to the children’s ward.
Mrs Emery said the raffle had been well supported by local businesses and it was very satisfying to have surpassed last year’s total of $1700.
