LAST year Danny Tyrell walked from Tamworth to Duri Post Office and back to raise money for his young daughter, Morgan.
The two year-old cherub is totally blind with Bilateral Coats Disease, something rare for female sufferers.
“We only had it diagnosed last May,” Danny said.
However the Royal Institute for the Deaf and Blind and the Steve Waugh Foundation helped Danny, Morgan and their family cope with the financial and other problems associated with the rare disease.
And Danny then walked to Duri and back to raise money and awareness.
So Danny has decided to make the five-hour walk again but this time he’s raising money to give to the two charities.
“I wanted to give them back something for helping us,” he said.
It’s not only a walk on November 21 from The Pub to Duri Post Office and back but there is also a golf day.
“It’s a four man ambrose,” Danny said of the November 22 golf day.
Danny used to work at the Tamworth Golf Club and thanks them for the chance to run the golf day.
“I now work for the The Pub Group and they’ve been great for us too,” Danny said.
He’s in training too for the 35km walk.
