A MAN has been refused bail after he was allegedly found in possession of stolen credit cards.
Tamworth police were patrolling O’Connell St in Tamworth yesterday when they stopped and questioned a 26-year-old man about 2am.
Police allege they located a number of credit cards, allegedly belonging to another person.
A check revealed the cards had been stolen from an Armidale address.
The man was arrested on the spot and taken to Tamworth Police Station where he was charged with possessing suspected stolen goods.
He was refused police bail and appeared in an out-of-sessions court sitting yesterday in Tamworth where he was refused bail by a registrar.
He’s been remanded in custody to appear in Tamworth Local Court on Monday.
Meanwhile, two other men have been charged over an alleged break-and-enter in Phillip St, Tamworth.
Tamworth police arrested the duo yesterday morning following an investigation.
Both have been charged with aggravated break-and-enter and armed with intent to commit indictable offence.
They will front court at a later date.
