THEY might be young, but the students of Tamworth’s St Nicholas’ Primary School have taken to fundraising, coming up with unique ways to support their school at the annual spring fair this weekend.
Balloon bursting, mini-golf and a Tough Mudder-style obstacle course will be among the attractions at the fair, along with market stalls, a jumping castle, face painting, a chocolate wheel and Year 1’s ice cream stall.
Parents and Friends Association president Jule George said all money would go towards new resources for the students.
The whole school community is involved in the event.
“We’ve got lots of market stalls – cakes, pre-loved books, clothes and furniture, bric-a-brac and plants,” Mrs George said.
“There’s a few community stalls and each grade is doing an activity. It’s a fun day to get the school community together.”
The fair is on Saturday from 11am to 4pm.
