A MOREE teenager has been jailed after a serious motorcycle crash earlier this year.
Brodie Hoyt, 19, has been sentenced to six months’ imprisonment for negligent driving and failing to stop and assist after an accident.
Hoyt was charged in April with the two counts, as well as one charge of unlicensed driving, following an investigation into the March accident.
A 26-year-old woman was seriously injured after she was thrown from a motorbike in the crash. Hoyt was in control of the motorbike and left the accident scene, leaving the woman with multiple fractures to her face and arms and internal and spinal injuries.
He was convicted and will be eligible for release in April.
