AN ARMIDALE man has been charged following a number of stealings reported in the CBD.
Police will allege the 21-year-old man attended three separate Armidale businesses on Wednesday afternoon and stole cash and property.
The local man is accused of walking into a Beardy St shop and stealing $60 in cash plus a mobile phone, while the shop assistant was distracted.
He then attended a store in Armidale Plaza and allegedly stole $400 in cash from a register, again while an employee was busy.
Police were called to a third incident and immediately launched an investigation.
The man ran from the scene but was later identified.
He was arrested and charged with three counts of larceny.
He was granted conditional bail and will appear in court on November 4.
