FANCY yourself as the keeper of plenty of general knowledge?
The Battle of the Brains trivia night is seeking people to form tables of eight for Friday’s big event at Wests’ Diggers.
Rotary Club of Tamworth Sunrise organising committee chairman Richard Frazer is looking forward to being the quizmaster for the big night.
“As the day also coincides with Australian Rotary Mental Health Hat Day, there will also be prizes for best individual and table hats, so it should be quite colourful,” Mr Frazer said.
It’s the third time it has been held since a great debut in 2011, following the event’s 18-year absence from the scene.
First and second prize are $1500 and $500 respectively, to go to the successful teams’ nominated charity or non-profit organisation.
All net profits from the event will go to headspace and Billabong Clubhouse.
Cost is $200 per table of eight ($25 each), with last year’s winner, Trinity Church, back again to defend their title.
Nibblies are included in the entry price and the fun starts at 6.45pm.
