A COUNTRY music angel has given Moore Creek woman Carol Boundy a chance to see one her favourite singers live in Tamworth tomorrow night.
Ms Boundy, an Alan Jackson fan, thought her luck had run out when she missed out on tickets a second time when promoter tickets went on sale last Monday.
She’d already missed out in the first sale and couldn’t believe she’d missed out a second time, but luck was then on her side.
A fellow fan, who won tickets to the show but already had bought tickets, read about Ms Boundy’s plight in The Leader last week and offered her two tickets.
The fan tracked her down in the phone book and offered her the tickets she had won, at a reduced price.
“They are pretty good seats,” Ms Boundy said.
“I’ve been a fan for a long time and I just couldn’t believe he was coming to Tamworth.”
For those wanting to catch the country superstar in Tamworth tomorrow night, there could still be some tickets left here and there.
Tamworth Regional Council entertainment venues manager Peter Ross said the tickets were “pretty well sold out” with the gold tickets all gone.
There could still be some restricted view seats at the side and maybe some platinum tickets.
Jackson takes the stage at TRECC with guest artists Sara Evans, from the US, and Australian Morgan Evans warming up the crowd before his performance.
