NORTHERN Inland Football resurrects an annual presentation night in Tamworth tomorrow night as part of a big weekend for football.
After staging its Premier League grand finals at Ken Chillingworth Oval last Saturday, NIF wraps up the season with a big awards night in the Tamworth Jockey Club’s function room which will include Newcastle Jets manager Gary van Egmond and his Central Coast Mariners opposite Graham Arnold.
They, and a few A League players, will join a night which honours the premiership winners – Tamworth FC and North Companions – as well as present awards to the Golden Boots and an All Star XI.
NIF executive officer Dino Perizzolo said the presentation night would be a good lead-in to Sunday’s A League trial between the Jets and Mariners.
While it has all the major awards to hand out, a new award, for Volunteer of the Year, will also be made tomorrow night.
Local club Hillvue Rovers FC is also running a Newcastle Jets clinic from 9.30am tomorrow at the the Gipps Street fields.
The clinic was won by Hillvue junior player Joshua Paul, who entered a NNSW Football competition open to all Optus Small Sided Football players aged between 5 and 11 who had registered by April 1 this year.
