AFTER the success of Tamworth band Blake Saban 3 and theirCity of Lightalbum and tour, they’re ready to do it all again.
Blake and Glendon Finlay hope their fans will again get behind them and help finance their third album,Rise Above, with a fundraiser tonight at The Court House Hotel from 8pm, with plenty of help from Rebel Ant Lager.
“Thanks to a successful crowd funding campaign in 2012, we were able to tour our City of Lightrecord around six states in six months, clocking up over 30,000km,” Blake said.
“We were humbled by the response from you – our friends and fans – and raised $7000 to help fund the tour.
“During the City of Light Tourthe band played iconic venues and festivals such as King St Brewhouse (Sydney), The Espy (St Kilda), Cherry Bar (Melbourne), Republic Bar (Hobart), X&Y Bar (Brisbane), The Rails (Byron Bay), Bluesfest (Byron Bay), Adelaide Fringe, Cairns Blues Festival and Sydney Blues ‘n’ Roots Festival.
“With the current trend of crowd funding in full swing, your contribution will help us greatly in the finishing of our new album and some of the promotional costs involved.”
The duo hopes to raise $10,000 to help cover some of the costs of making their album and subsequent promotion.
“The perks we are offering are unique to this crowd funding campaign and if you contribute you will be among the first to hear it,” Blake said.
The free show starts at 8pm and all sales of Rebel Ant Lager will go towards the release of Blake Saban 3’s new album Rise Above.
